In this weekends Parade magazine Emma Thompson announced that she's working on a film adaptation of My Fair Lady. She told Parade's James Brady, "I've got three projects right now...I've been hired to write a new screenplay for My Fair Lady, based on the foreword and afterword of Shaw's Pygmalion—different from the musical and not as sweet an ending."

Emma Thompson won an Oscar for "Howard's End" in 1992 for Bes Actress. She also received an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for "Sense and Sensiblitity" in 1996.

There has also been much talk of a "My Fair Lady" Broadway revival starring Kelli O'Hara.
