To celebrate the publication of She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story (Wordeee), an upcoming romance novel by Ashley Wren Collins and Jordan Rockwell, Barnes and Noble on the Upper West Side is hosting a unique event -- a dramatic reading followed by a Q&A and book signing (7pm, Monday, May 11th). Collins was the Associate Director and Associate Choreographer on Reunions and This is Not a Drill. This is her fifth book and first romance novel.
She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story follows aspiring writer Joanna Peterson-Mills and finance scion Logan Thurgood when they meet at a dinner party one autumn night in New York. A sidesplitting romp through their "Not-so Meet Cute" under the Manhattan skyline ensues as they navigate career and dating hijinks in the modern world.
This unique romantic comedy is told from alternating perspectives and features a lovable cast of characters: Joanna is balancing her flourishing writing career with her creepy boss and big city dreams from the cramped East Village walk-up she shares with two eccentric roommates, while Logan is determined to break away from the labels of his wealthy Connecticut family and forge a name for himself on Wall Street. As Joanna and Logan's paths keep crossing and their stories unfold, one question remains: Can these two get out of their own way and find a happy ending together?
Gabriel Barre (Amazing Grace) directs Emma Pittman (The Outsiders, Chicago) as the novel's heroine, Joanna, and Sam Underwood (Fear the Walking Dead, The Following) as the novel's hero, Logan. Ryann Redmond (Frozen, Bring It On) and Andrew Chappelle (& Juliet, Hamilton) play various other roles within the romance novel. Casting by Daryl Eisenberg of Eisenberg Casting.
