According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, Eddie Redmayne has been chosen to star in an upcoming Marilyn Monroe movie, in which he will play Monroe's caretaker.  He will join Michelle Williams who is set to play Monroe in My Week With Marilyn. Filming is set to begin in ten days.

In the film, Redmayne will play Colin Clark, who took care of Monroe while she was filming with Laurence Olivier. The movie is based on the dairies kept by Clark during the filming of Prince and the Showgirl.

Producer David Parfitt stated, 'It's a devilishly tricky part to find the right person for because Colin went to Eton, studied at Oxford and flew for the RAF,' Parfitt, who won a best picture Oscar for Shakespeare In Love, told me.  You also had to be able to believe that there was some sort of attraction between Clark and Monroe, whether or not anything came of it. The spark had to be there.'

Redmayne took home a 2010 Tony Award for his performance in Red.  He has previously acted in Now or Later (Royal Court), The Goat (Almeida/Apollo) Master Harold & the Boys (Liverpool Everyman), Twelfth Night (Shakespeare's Globe at the Middle Temple Hall), in films such as "The Other Boleyn Girl" and "The Good Shepherd" and in televisions shows such as "tes of the D'Urbervilles" and "Elizabeth I."
