Broadway's critically acclaimed DOUBT is scheduled to be featured this evening on "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer". The program will feature interviews with author John Patrick Shanley, winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for DOUBT, and stars Cherry Jones and Brían F. O'Byrne.

DOUBT, written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Doug Hughes, is playing at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street).

Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, DOUBT is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?

The production stars Cherry Jones as Sister Aloysius and Brían F. O'Byrne as Father Flynn, with Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James and Adriane Lenox as Mrs. Muller.

DOUBT is produced by Carole Shorenstein Hays, MTC Productions Inc. (Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director; Barry Grove, Executive Producer), Roger Berlind and Scott Rudin. DOUBT is author John Patrick Shanley's first play to be produced on Broadway.

Set design is by John Lee Beatty, costume design is by Catherine Zuber, lighting design is by Pat Collins, original music and sound design is by David Van Tieghem.

Performance schedule is Tuesday through Saturday at 8:00 PM, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00 PM, and Sunday at 3:00 PM.
