Disney Posts Updates From Set Of BEAUTY & THE BEAST Live Action Remake On Snapchat

BEAUTY & THE BEAST on Snapchat!

Hit Broadway musical edition of classic animated Disney movie musical BEAUTY & THE BEAST is currently in pre-production for a fresh live-action edition featuring classic Alan Menken and Howard Ashman songs from the film and the subsequent stage adaptation - which also boasts lyrics by Tim Rice - and new updates are being revealed by Disney Studios this week via Snapchat.

The official BEAUTY & THE BEAST Facebook page announced the Snapchat updates earlier this week, stating, "Who'd have ever thought that this could be? Follow username Disney on Snapchat to go behind the scenes of live-action Beauty and the Beast as filming begins."

Of note, Snapchat participants who follow the user name Disney are offered access to exclusive photos from the set of the film, including a look at the official shooting screenplay and new Snapchat-ized images from the classic animated film, as well.

In addition to Emma Watson, the new BEAUTY & THE BEAST is set to showcase stage and screen star Dan Stevens as The Beast, along with film star Luke Evans as Gaston.

Of note, the starry cast also includes two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, fellow Oscar winner Kevin Kline, six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, recognizable stage and screen star Timothy Spall and iconic stage and screen notable Sir Ian McKellen.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST is set to be released on March 17. 2017.
