Ars Nova continues the third season of its acclaimed Broadway Spotlight series with Joseph Cassidy, who is currently understudying both Norbert Leo Butz and Gregory Jbarra in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cassidy will perform with a five-piece band, playing songs from the 60's-90's including ones by Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Marvin Gaye, The Black Crowes, Styx and Queen. Broadway Spotlight: Joseph Cassidy will be on Monday, April 4 at 8 PM at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street).

JOSEPH CASSIDY is currently understudying both Norbert Leo Butz and Gregory Jbarra in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He has also performed principal roles in 1776, Show Boat, Les Miserables and A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden. Other New York credits include Listen to my Heart, The Songs of David Friedman, Encores!, and a solo evening at Joe's Pub. Cassidy can be heard on several cast albums and has done solo recording session work with artists varying from Lorin Maazel to James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins.

Cassidy's band includes Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Tony Steele (Riverdance), Greg Koch, and Lee Morgan (Brooklyn and Tommy).
