David Gurland, the multi award winning and out gay vocalist, presents his most ambitious performance series to date- "The DGUR Concerts. "The third Sunday of each month, starting January 21st.  Every show will have a different musical director with different musicians, and guest stars.

After an inaugural evening of "Showtunes," the second performance of this series on February 18th show will be an "All Country Music Night." For this performance, Gurland will welcome special guests Lisa Asher (2007 Nightlife Award Winner Outstanding Female Vocalist) and Randi Driscoll (Songwriter of "What Matters,"  featured in the NBC film, "The Matthew Shepard Story"). The evening will be musically directed by Tim DiPasqua (2007 Nightlife Award Winner Outstanding Cabaret Revue-Variety performance)

This performance will feature songs that "cover a broad range of the pop side of the country catalog," as press materials describe the concert.  "Among the artists to be represented are: The Dixie Chicks, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Faith Hill, Glenn Campbell, KD Lang, and more.  As always, these songs will be accented by David's edgy humor, his unique voice, and inimitable interpretive style."

David Gurland has performed in and for sold-out houses at such first class New York venues as BB Kings, Downtime, The Bitter End, The Cutting Room, The Living Room, CB's Gallery, FEZ, The Ace of Clubs, The Metropolitan Room, The Duplex, The Triad, as well The Gardenia in LA, Twiggs in San Diego and The Manor in NJ. David has also been on the roster of distinguished artists to be included in Carnegie Hall's Neighborhood Concert series for two seasons in a row. For his nightclub and cabaret performances, David has won the Manhattan Association of Cabaret's Hanson Award, as well as having been nominated an additional five times.
