Dates Announced for HAMILTON National Tour's First Stop in San Francisco

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, a national tour of the Broadway musical HAMILTON will kick off next year in San Francisco, and dates of the run have finally been announced. The musical will open at the SHN Orpheum Theatre March 14 and will run through August 5. For tickets, visit: https://www.shnsf.com

Following the San Francisco run the show will play the Hollywood Pantages in Los Angeles (from August 11 to December 30).

A Chicago production of HAMILTON will begin performances on September 27, 2016 at the Private Bank Theatre.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway,HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.
