Dancing with the Stars host Samantha Harris revealed on the final performance show tonight that she will be joining the Broadway production of the long running hit musical 'CHICAGO' this summer in the role of 'Roxie Hart'. Harris announced she'd be performing during July and August, there has been no official confirmation of her appearing at this time from the production.

Last week Harris explained to The New York Daily News that she grew up around live entertainment. Her father was a rock concert promoter, and her mother a dancer. Together they created one of the country's first Renaissance festivals. "I always had Broadway in my heart," she says. "I do have a dream of the Broadway stage." It looks like her dream will be coming true this summer!

Dancing with the Stars is the U.S. version of the international smash hit series, Strictly Come Dancing. This version is produced by BBC Worldwide Americas. Conrad Green serves as executive producer and Rob Wade and Matilda Zoltowski are co-executive producers. Alex Rudzinski directs. Dancing with the Stars is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP.

Now celebrating twelve glorious years of girls, glitz and glamour on the Great White Way, the record-breaking smash hit musical CHICAGO is currently the seventh longest-running production in Broadway history, as well as Broadway's longest-running musical revival...and it shows no sign of ever slowing down!

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording. CHICAGO is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, and features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher and music direction by Leslie Stifelman.
