Curtains Cast, with Kander & Holmes, to Appear at B&N
The cast of Curtains will perform and sign CDs at Barnes & Noble, Lincoln Square (1972 Broadway at 66th St.) on Thursday, June 14th at 5 PM.
Curtains stars David Hyde Pierce, Debra Monk, Karen Ziemba, Edward Hibbert, Jill Paice, Jason Danieley and Michael McCormick will join the show's composer John Kander and bookwriter Rupert Homes for the appearance.
Broadway Angel / Manhattan Records released the original cast recording of Curtains on Tuesday, June 5. Created by the legendary songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb , this acclaimed musical was nominated for 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and David Hyde Pierce won the Tony for Best Actor in a Musical.Curtains is directed by five-time Tony-nominee Scott Ellis and choreographed by Tony-winner Rob Ashford. The show opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on March 22, 2007. With music by Kander and lyrics byEbb, additional lyrics were written by Kander and Holmes. The CD is produced by nine-time Grammy-winner Jay David Saks and is executive produced by Bill Rosenfield.
