Constantine Maroulis to Join The Wedding Singer?
Constantine Maroulis, the "American Idol" finalist also known for his turn as Roger in a non-Equity tour of Rent, may be joining The Wedding Singer.
It was announced on MTV's "TRL" that Maroulis would be joining the cast, although nothing has been confirmed. The role that Maroulis would play was also not mentioned.Maroulis was a finalist during the 2005 season of "American Idol." In addition to the Rent tour, he has worked in theatre as a performer (he is featured on the cast recording of the musical Suburban Dreams) and a director's apprentice (at the Williamstown Theatre Festival). He was also formerly the frontman for the band Pray for the Soul of Betty.The Wedding Singer currently stars Stephen Lynch, Felicia Finley, Amy Spanger, Richard Blake, Kevin Cahoon, Rita Gardner, and Matthew Saldivar. Tina Maddigan is currently filling in for Laura Benanti, who is on medical leave. Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Rob Ashford, The Wedding Singer features original music by Matthew Sklar, book by Chad Beguelin & Tim Herlihy and lyrics by Beguelin.

is based on the hit film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
The Wedding Singer opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on April 27th after beginning previews on March 30th.
