Comedian Sunda Croonquist to Appear at Montclair State's 2016 Autism New Jersey Benefit

Actress, comedian & talk show host Sunda Croonquist returns to her home state for the fifth annual Autism New Jersey benefit scheduled to take place on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Memorial Auditorium of Montclair State University (MSU) located at 1 Normal Avenue in Montclair , NJ.

The "Performers For A Purpose" benefit - presented in partnership with the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter of MSU - is set to begin at 7:30pm. Tickets which are $15.00 for general admission, $25.00 VIP can be purchased in advance online at www.autismnj.org/fundraising_events.

A native of Paterson, NJ, Croonquist, who recently appeared on The Hallmark Channel"s Home & Family" program and was voted as New Jersey's Funniest Female will be joined at the event by NJ rock & roll great singer / songwriter Don Ciccone and Tony award nominee Kate Baldwin Also appearing at the event - which takes place during National Autism Awareness Month - will be the Montclair State's Freshman Revue and Rochelle Park's Jodi DiPiazza.

Now a West coast, resident, Sunda regularly hosts " "All Star Comedy" on Saturday evenings at The Laugh Factory in Hollywood, co-hosts Jewish Life Television's (JLTV)talk show "James and Sunda."and has been featured on several network and cable television programs including ABC-TV's "The View," Comedy Central's "Premium Blend", "The Today Show" and Oprah's OWN. .The Black, Jewish, Swedish mother of two who is the co-author of the cookbook "Kosher Soul Food" (Putnam & Smith Publishing Company),has also served as the chairperson of Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey's annual "Laugh Off!" stand-up comedy competition.

"New Jersey is my home state and it's an honor and privilege to perform for Autism NJ and the PRSSA once again,' said Croonqist. 'Autism NJ is doing wonderful things for parents, children and families dealing with autism. and 'Performers For A Purpose" is a great night out for the whole family," she added.

The PRSSA is a student based affiliated organization of the Public Relations Society of America which is made up of more than 11,000 students and advisers organized into 300 plus Chapters in the United States, Argentina and Colombia.
