Clearview Chelsea will present a special showing of 'Xanadu' as part of Chelsea Classics series on April 15th. Chelsea Classics, soon to be celebrating its 9th Anniversary, presents classic films every Thursday night at 7pm and 9:30pm. The 7pm show is hosted by Drag Queen Hedda Lettuce.

Concerned about angst- ridden artist Sonny Malone (Michael Beck), Zeus dispatches winsome muse Kira (Olivia Newton- John) to Earth to inspire the painter. Kira hooks Sonny up with wealthy Danny McGuire (Gene Kelly) - a musician Kira buoyed decades earlier - and the trio revamps a vacant building into the world's coolest disco roller rink. Blending nostalgia and 1970s glitz, Xanadu includes tunes by Newton- John and the Electric Light Orchestra. In 2007 the film was adapted into a Broadway musical which played 512 performances at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

Tickets are $7.50 and are available online at Movietickets.com or in person at the Clearview Chelsea Box Office. Clearview Chelsea is located at 260 West 23rd St between 7th and 8th Ave.
