Chip Zien, Sarah Rice & More Set for SONDHEIM UNPLUGGED at 54 Below, 7/28

The Bistro Award-winning series Sondheim Unplugged will return to 54 Below next weekend, on Sunday, July 28, with a show at 7:00 p.m.

The latest edition will feature special guests Chip Zien (Into the Woods' original Baker), Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd's original Johanna), and Terri White (Stella Deems, 2011 Broadway revival of Follies).

Other performers slated to take the stage include Sierra Boggess (The Little Mermaid), Natalie Douglas (MAC, Bistro Award winner), Matt Farnsworth (Curtains), Evan Harrington (Peter & The Starcatcher), Lina Koutrakos (MAC, Bistro Award winner), Karen Mason (Mamma Mia, Sunset Boulevard, Hairspray), Julie Reyburn (MAC, Bistro, Nightlife Award winner), Brian Charles Rooney (Threepenny Opera), and Lucia Spina (Kinky Boots).

Sondheim Unplugged features some of Broadway and cabaret's most dynamic voices, accompanied by piano only. Expect tunes from A Little Night Music, Company, Into the Woods, Follies, Passion, Dick Tracy and more. Past special guests have included original Sondheim cast members such as Len Cariou, Victoria Mallory & Donna McKechnie - so you never know who might drop in. Sondheim Unplugged is hosted by series creator Phil Geoffrey Bond, who will fill the audience in on Sondheimien facts, history & assorted tidbits of theatrical lore!

The series features musical direction by Dan Kazemi, and features original creator Phil Geoffrey Bond as the host.
