Casting has been announced for Signature Theatre's production of Sarah Kane's Crave, which will begin in Arlington, VA on January 30th and run through April 1st.

The production, presented in the ARK Theatre, will star Kathleen Coons, Deborah Hazelett, Joe Isenberg and John Lescault.  Jeremy Skidmore will direct.

"Set in an unidentifiable city from which voices and images spring," state Signature notes, "Crave is a dramatized deconstruction of the human mind under the pressures of love, loss, and longing.  Four nameless characters tell their tales of disintegration and isolation.  A stunningly poetic and visceral theater experience, Crave's powerful — and often times shocking — language forges an immediate, intense bond between audience and performer. British playwright Sarah Kane was hailed as a potential heir to such existential playwrights as Samuel Beckett and Edward Bond prior to her untimely death at the age of 28."

Crave will be the first show to be presented the 99-seat, black box ARK Theatre, located in Signature's new two-theatre complex.  Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods is currently playing the MAX.
