Cait Doyle takes the city by storm performing Hot Mess in Manhattan at the Duplex ( 61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue ) on January 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 7pm.

What happens when a girl from Bloomfield , New Jersey moves to Manhattan ? First, she discovers the five boroughs, so she can afford to live with roommates. Second, she discovers that there is no way she can afford a martini at the bar, unless it is happy hour. Third, she must discover the best place to purchase knock-off shoes and purses and the thrift store that has the best designer clothes on their rack. Finally, she succumbs to the horrible and miserable truth, "CARRIE BRADSHAW IS A LIE!" ...AND SO HOT MESS IN MANHATTAN WAS BORN.

Cait's career in the theatre began early, where she hammed it up at St.Thomas Apostle Elementary School and mixed it up with musicals at Seton Hall Preparatory. Cait then moved on to Syracuse University and majored in Musical Theatre. At Syracuse, she distinguished herself from the crowd by graduating magna cum laude and winning the Ingram Award, for excellence in acting, singing, and dancing. Other notable roles include Cathy in the San Francisco premiere of "The Last 5 Years" and Dottie Smallton in "Underwear: A Space Musical" at the New York Fringe Festival. Most recently, Cait was at Lincoln Center singing Adam Gwon's " Gotta Get Out" from his new musical - Ordinary Days.

In "Hot Mess in Manhattan " we journey through the wilds of New York City life with comedy and music that encompasses a variety of styles - pop, showtunes, and contemporary. The show is musically directed by Vince Peterson, directed by MAC & Bistro award winning Jonathan Whitton, and features world class cellist Dan Delaney.

Each month a new song is composed by a notable musician. Past composers have included Adam Gwon, Julianne Wick Davis, and Ryan Scott Oliver. January's original song is composed by Eli Bolin. Eli is a founding member of The Striking Viking Story Pirates, a not for profit company that adapts stories written by kids into sketches and songs. Jon Stewart has called them "crazy entertaining." Eli has also composed the Off-Broadway musical "I, Sing!," which has been produced throughout the U.S. and in England , Scotland , and Australia . Eli is currently working on several new musicals, the music for Kristen Schaal's upcoming special on Comedy Central, and performing around the city songs from his debut album, "Lemonade."

Before every January performance of the "Mess", MTV sketch comedian John Anderson will delight the audience with new material. John is an actor and writer of the MTV web series North Palm Wrestling and artistic director of Pop Megahit Theatre Factory. This December, he will appear in "We All Fall Down" at the 45th Street Theatre.
