Cabaret Cares Returns to Laurie Beechman; First Shows Announced

The hit of 2007 Cabaret Cares returns to the Laurie Beechman Theatre on January 20th at 9:30 p.m.  After a successful run in 2007 with several sold out show it's back with more Broadway shows and the best of cabaret. The first show of the 2008 season is titled Queens Invades Manhattan. With such a title you can imagine many different things. But this show is just that some of the singers and performers from the borough of Queens will be performing that night.

Cabaret Cares is the ongoing cabaret series created by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia  to raise funds for two different AIDS organizations in New York City. The series first debuted in August of 2005 and raised over nine thousand dollars for Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS.The series was created to bring together the best of the cabaret and Broadway community. After a year hiatus Mr.Macchia decided it was time to bring back the series. Cabaret Cares returned in July of 2007 to the Laurie Beechman theatre. This time the series now benefits two AIDS organizations in New York, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and Help Is On The Way Today.

Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS is the nations leading industry based AIDS grant making organization. Help Is On The Way Today is a new non-for-profit organizations that was founded by Joseph Macchia, the mission of Help Is On The Way Today is to assist and help children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City when government agencies fall short.

Cabaret Cares will run through April at the Beechman theatre. The series will come to an end with a grand gala with some of the best Broadway and cabaret names.

Queens Invades New York   Jan 20th at 9:30 p.m. doors open at 9 p.m.  The best singers and performers from the borough of Queens will invade New York. Performing that night Jean Ann Kump, Cas Marino, Barry Feterman, Amanda Doria, and more

February 3rd at 9:30 p.m. DIVAPALOOZA 9 the series that pays tribute to the great Diva's of stage and screen but with an all male cast. This show will pay tribute to DIVA'S Jennifer Holiday,Whitney Houston, Lillas White,Lena Horn, and more. Performing that night Robert Fowler (The Producers),Peter Mac (Judy and Me),Jay Rogers(When Pigs Fly),Ricky Ritzel (MAC Award Winner),
