Butler, Pinkins and More Join Line-Up for Feb. 6 ABC Daytime Benefit

Kerry Butler, who recently signed a contract for her role as "Claudia Reston" on ABC's "One Life to Live." will join a starry cast that also includes Tonya Pinkins, Kathy Brier and Renee Elise Goldsberry in a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Monday, February 6th, 2006 at 7:30 PM.

Susan Lucci will headline the musical celebration featuring stars from ABC's top rated daytime line up; "The View," "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital" as they perform on Broadway for one night to support Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. The event will be sponsored in part by ABC Daytime, The Walt Disney Company and SOAPnet.

Among the cavalcade of stars who will appear includes Bobbie Eakes, Jill Larson, Cady McClain, Cameron Mathison, Sydney Penny, Tony Award-winner Pinkins (Caroline, or Change, Jelly's Last Jam), Aiden Turner, Walt Willey and Jacob Young from "All My Children;" Kristen Alderson, Brier (Hairspray), Kerry Butler (Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors), Kassie Depaiva, Kamar de los Reyes, Renee Elise Goldsberry (The Color Purple), Catherine Hickland, Matt Metzger and Robin Strasser from "One Life to Live," and Kelly Monaco, Kimberly McCullough and Scott Clifton from "General Hospital." In addition, the evening (which is presented by ABC and The Walt Disney Company) will include surprise appearances from additional cast members from all three daytime dramas.

Television icon Barbara Walters, creator/executive producer and co-host of "The View," will open the evening with a tribute to BC/EFA. Meredith Vieira, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck from "The View" will also take part in the evening's festivities.

ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS marks the second benefit the network has produced with and in support of this organization. Last year, the cast of "All My Children" celebrated the show's 35th anniversary, raising $250,000. The event will be held at The New Amsterdam Theatre on 214 West 42nd Street, current home to the The Lion King.
