Nearly 50 years ago, the man who changed the face of popular music tragically died in a plane crash at the age of 22. Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story , to play Westchester Broadway Theatre February 14 through April 19, tells the story of the three years in which he became the world's top recording artist. The show features over twenty of Buddy Holly's greatest hits including, "Peggy Sue", "That'll Be The Day", "Oh Boy", "Rave On",  Ritchie Valens' "La Bamba", and the Big Bopper's "Chantilly Lace".

"Pat McRoberts as Buddy sings his way through two hours of some of the best rock 'n' roll songs ever written. Buddy and his childhood school friends, The Crickets, turned country music upside down and created a unique style of sound which some called 'the devil's music'. This moving musical revue recreates two of Holly's unforgettable concerts, including the Crickets' appearance as the first white act ever to appear at the Apollo Theatre and his final gig at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa  where Buddy was joined by Ritchie Valens and the 'Big Bopper' J.P. Richardson, in one of the most exciting musical concerts of all-time. Forever ingrained in our musical minds is the smiling, bespectacled picture of this groundbreaking American idol whose spirit will forever rock on!" state press notes.

The show will be directed and choreographed by Victoria Bussert and the Musical Director is Angela Howell. The cast includes Anthony Eric Scott and John Rochette as The Crickets, Migel Romero as Ritchie Valens, Ryan Dunkin as "The Big Bopper", Becca Lopez as Maria Elena, Buddy's wife, and John Schiappa as Norm Petty.
