The holiday season is here at last, and in just weeks, the world will be spreading the yuletide cheer by decking the halls, wrapping the gifts and sipping the eggnog. There are plenty of ways to join in the spirit, but for theatre fans, there is even more to celebrate, as our favorite holiday programming and performances will be presented across all platforms this December. Whether you'd like to check out your favorite Christmas musical on stage, tune in for a festive concert on TV, or buy a movie ticket to a big holiday release, Broadway is everywhere this season... and BroadwayWorld has a complete guide of where to find it!

The Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Where: New York City, NY (Radio City Music Hall), Nashville, TN (Grand Ole Opry House), Houston, TX (Hobby Center for the Performing Arts)

About: The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is a one-of-a-kind holiday celebration that generations of people have come to cherish. The 2014 edition features dazzling dance numbers and costumes, traditional favorites, state-of-the-art technology and the return of a classic number that has been completely re-imagined and stars the Rockettes. Audiences will feel immersed in the warmth and magic of Christmas when the finale number, "Snow," which was introduced in 2013, transforms the hall into a breathtaking winter wonderland that features GPS-enabled snowflakes. "Snow," joins classic performances, including "Living Nativity," which takes audiences on an awe-inspiring, uplifting journey, and "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers," which sets the standard for the Rockettes style of precision dance, as a vital part of the show. The 2014 Christmas Spectacular will lift spirits and create lasting memories for friends, family and loved ones and Radio City will be aglow with the joy of the season.

Elf

About: Based on the holiday film starring Will Ferrell, Elf is the fantastical holiday musical for the entire family! This is the hilarious and joyous tale of Buddy, an orphan who is mistakenly transported to the North Pole and raised by Santa's elves. Now, as a grownup, he embarks on a journey to discover his true identity. It's a holiday treat for the entire family. Elf features a cast of Broadway veterans and Paper Mill Playhouse favorites. Elf, based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book byThomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Elf is directed by Eric Ankrimand choreographed by Josh Rhodes.

Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Where: New York City, NY (The Theatre at Madison Square Garden)

When: Now through December 28

Irving Berlin's White Christmas

Hansel and Gretel

Where: The Metropolitan Opera's Metropolitan Opera House

When: December 27 through January 8

About: Returning for the holidays, this season's family entertainment is Richard Jones's witty production of Humperdinck's fairy-tale opera, conducted by Sir Andrew Davis, in which two children face off against a wicked witch. In a lush setting of giant chefs, suit-clad trees, and an industrial kitchen where the Witch gets what's coming to her, Aleksandra Kurzak as Gretel and Christine Rice as Hansel will lead a visual and delightful feast for our younger patrons.
