MAC and Bistro Award-winner Brandon Cutrell will perform in Scott Barbarino & The Cosmopolitans Variety Hour with Leslie Anderson and Ricky Ritzel at the Iridium Jazz Club on Thursday, June 16th.

"Rib-tickling...evokes memories of Las Vegas in the fifties and sixties," Cabaret Scene's Peter Leavy wrote of the Variety Hour.  In addition, Matthew Hoffman will be the weekly Special Stardust Spotlight Guest.  "Matthew offered a true Broadway performance. He hit the last notes just as the back-on-air signal came. Big applause! If he becomes a star, it'll be the best up-from-nowhere tale since Shirley MacLaine got lucky because of Carol Haney's broken ankle!" wrote Liz Smith of The New York Post.

Cutrell, whose "vibrant vocals and excellent acting" were lauded by Wayman Wong of Playbill.com won the 2003 MAC Award for Best Male Debut, and the 2005 Back Stage Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist.  His New York credits include Pippin, Rags in Concert and Mad About the Boy, and he hosts the Mostly Sondheim open-mic nights at the Duplex on Friday as well.

On June 23rd, Alice Frazier will be featured on the Variety Hour with a new Stardust Spotlight Guest, and novelty acts courtesy of Magic Brian and the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus.

There is a $15 cover, as well as a $10 food/beverage minimum for the show, with $5 off for members of MAC, the Cabaret Hotline, Singers Forum, Singing Experience and TRU.  The Iridium Jazz Club is located at 1650 Broadway.
