Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) is joining the world-wide musical community in commemorating Leonard Bernstein by participating in Leonard Bernstein at 100. His stature as an artist, educator, humanitarian and lifelong resident of our Upper West Side community continues to inspire and resonate with all of us.

Join BSM on November 11th at 7:00 pm as they launch their season-long Leonard Bernstein at 100 programming and celebrate the school's founding in 1964 at its home site located at 323 West 108th Street. Admission is free.

BSM celebrates Leonard Bernstein in a concert featuring rarely heard works for brass including his Music for Brass collection as well as a brilliant arrangement of music from West Side Story.

The concert will be followed by a birthday reception celebrating BSM's 53rd year with a Bernstein Vocal Soiree in its 2nd floor library, featuring performances by BSM vocal faculty and students. The Bernstein Brass Bash concert features BSM faculty trumpeters Brandon Vazquez and Rebecca Steinberg, Lisa Pike on French horn, Steven Osborne on trombone, Ryan Hayward on tuba and Judith Olson on piano.
