Piano man Billy Joel has revealed to Access Hollywood that he has offered GLEE use of his hall of fame music catalog.  Stage vets Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison performed Joel's "Piano Man" last season on an episode in which Harris guest starred. Harris earend an Emmy nomination for his appearance.

With the excitement that surrounded both the Madonna and Lady Gaga tribute episodes last season and the buzz the Britney Spears episode is generating for the upcoming season, it is plausible that a Billy Joel tribute could be in the cards.  Joel responded to the idea: "All I know is I said, ‘Yeah! Go ahead. Use my stuff...I was in a chorus when I was in high school, why not?" What Joel won't do, however, is appear on the show, explaining: "I'm just not a big TV actor type of guy, I'm a piano player."

GLEE follows an optimistic teacher who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - inspires McKinley High's Glee Club to conquer the world one singing competition at a time. GLEE stars Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz.

GLEE is produced by Ryan Murphy Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are co-creators of the series. Murphy, Falchuk and Dante di Loreto serve as executive producers, while Ian Brennan serves as co-executive producer.

GLEE returns to FOX on September 21, 2010.
