Billy Joe Kiessling and Jake Appet have released their short film "billy me" today chronicling the daily doings in the life of Kiessling while performing in NATASHA, PIERRE, & THE GREAT COMET on Broadway last summer; The film is available for free and streaming now on Vimeo. A link to the trailer can be seen here from Kiessling's twitter:

From Kiessling:
"I originally just wanted to create a piece for myself to capture what my commute looked like during this very special time. Who knows when I'll be back on Broadway!.. that was my thought; I just wanted to remember everything, to look back on this time many years from now and to always have this project for reflection. But then when I saw what Jake and I had shot, we decided to cut it in a way that accomplishes what I originally intended as well as providing a very light narrative for others to enjoy."

THE GREAT COMET ended its Broadway run at the Imperial Theatre on September 3. The musical, which received 12 2017 Tony Nominations, played 32 previews and 336 regular performances at the time of its closing, a National Tour is in the works.

Billy Joe Kiessling will appear this spring in NBC's new theatre-focused drama RISE. The series is based on the true story of a high school drama teacher, played by stage and screen actor Josh Radnor, who sets out to reinvigorate his school's theatre program. The cast also stars Moana breakout star Auli'i Cravalho alongside Newsies alum Damon J. Gillespie, as well as other Broadway alums Rosie Perez, Joe Tippett, Sean Grandillo, Marley Shelton, Tony nominee Stephanie J Block, and Tom Riis Farrell.
