Billy Crystal Extends to June 12, Lennon Previews Start July 7

It was announced today that Billy Crystal's "700 Sundays" will extend its run at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) through Sunday, June 12th. As a result, LENNON, the new musical based on the life and songs of John Lennon, originally scheduled to begin previews on June 28th, will now do so on Thursday, July 7th with the opening date set now set for Thursday, August 4th.

Producer Allan McKeown said today, "Billy's been delighting audiences with "700 Sundays" and we congratulate him on his enormous success. We fully understand his desire to extend a few weeks. We look forward to moving into the Broadhurst Theatre with LENNON after he has completed his successful run."

LENNON is written and directed by Don Scardino and produced by Allan McKeown, Edgar Lansbury, Clear Channel Entertainment and Jeff Sine.

The LENNON creative team also includes Joe Malone (Choreography), Lon Hoyt (Music Supervisor), John Arnone (Scenic/Projection Design), Jane Greenwood (Costume Design), Natasha Katz (Lighting Design), Bobby Aitken (Sound Design), and Harold Wheeler (Orchestrator).

LENNON is produced by arrangement with Yoko Ono.

The cast includes Will Chase, Chuck Cooper, Julie Danao, Mandy Gonzalez, Marcy Harriell, Chad Kimball, Terrence Mann, Julia Murney, and Michael Potts.

LENNON's playing schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets are available through Telecharge.com online or by phone at (212) 239-6200. Tickets prices range from $46.25 to $101.25.
