About Bell, Book and Candle: Gillian (Charles Busch) is a beautiful, bored witch who decides to amuse herself by practicing magic on her handsome new neighbor, Shep (Howard McGillin). Gillian uses her powers to make Shep fall in love with her, knowing that she's immune to his charms, since witches can't fall in love - or so she thinks. Also featured are Malcolm Gets as Nicky Holroyd, Jonathan Freeman as Sidney Redlith and Dody Goodman as Ms. Holroyd (Miss Queenie).

A play about witches living in 1950's Greenwich Village. Bell, Book & Candle is considered by many to be the basis of the television series "Bewitched." The original stage play starred Rex Harrison & Lili Palmer. The film version starred Kim Novak, Jimmy Stewart, Jack Lemon & Ernie Kovacs.
