The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is proud to welcome Hairspray's Barbara Walsh to their stage for a one night only concert event on Monday, January 31st. The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located at 61 Christopher Street, in the heart of New York's West Village. No one under 21 will be permitted, and credit cards are accepted.

Hairspray's Barbara Walsh can currently be seen in the smash Broadway musical as Velma Von Tussle. Barbara received a Tony nomination, a Drama Desk nomination and the Los Angeles Ovation Award for her performance as Trina in the Tony Award-winning musical, Falsettos. Other Broadway credits include originating the roles of Mrs. Baskin in Big, Mrs. Lyons in Blood Brothers and Joan Baez in Rock 'n Roll: the first 5,000 years. Barbara also played Mother in the Chicago company of Ragtime. Favorite role: Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire directed by her husband, Jack Cummings III.

Ms. Walsh appears at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre as the opening event of Broadway Downtown, an on-going series featuring performers from Broadway in their own solo concerts. Future performances include Sally Mayes (February 7), Liz McCartney (Feb 28), Judy Blazer (Feb 28), Christiane Noll (March 7) and Barrett Foa (March 21).
