WAVERLY WRITERS COLLECTIVE is pleased to announce its upcoming production of "BABIES, BOMBS AND LOVE: PLAYS FOR A NEW GENERATION," an evening of short plays written by its member playwrights. Performances are Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays only March 13th through March 15th at 7:00 pm and March 20th through March 22nd at 8:00 pm. All tickets are $15.00, $12.00 with current student ID. For reservations please call 212-769-7973, ext. 2. The SARGENT THEATRE is located at the AMERICAN THEATRE OF ACTORS, 314 West 54th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues).

BABIES, BOMBS AND LOVE includes six short plays. In JENNIE ENG'S "LOVING GENE HACKMAN," directed by WES GRANTOM (Lincoln Center Director's Lab), friendship just doesn't cut it when love is what you want. Jamaican nannies discuss their lives on the Upper West Side in AURIN SQUIRE'S "BABY TALK," directed by MARTIN DARAZ (Lincoln Center Director's Lab). LAURA ROHRMAN's "BELOW 14th," directed by RAYMOND ZILBERBERG, is a futuristic vision of life in New York City after a catastrophe. Dieting is not as simple as one might think in "LOVE IN THE TIME OF ATKINS," written and directed by JASON NUNES. DAVID CAUDLE's Samuel French winning "FEET OF CLAY," directed by CARRIE PRESTON, takes a hilarious look at what men do when their wives leave them alone and KYOUNG PARK's allegorical "URI/NARA AND A BABY," directed by AMANDA J. CARTER, gives a new meaning to the political divide in South Korea.

WAVERLY WRITERS COLLECTIVE is a young, diverse group of up-and-coming playwrights whose work attempts to shine a light on the world in which they live. The company was founded in 2003 by LAURA ROHRMAN and AURIN SQUIRE, MFA candidates at the Actors Studio Drama School/New School University, with the help of Etc Theatre Company and Manhattan Theatre Source. To date they have produced two previous evenings of theatre: "9 x 9", which included the works of nine new plays from the Actors Studio Drama's School's Cohort 9's graduating class and "Two Guys and a Girl" which debuted at Manhattan Theatre Source. The group's mission is to create new and exciting opportunities for emerging artists.
