Today, BroadwayWorld is thrilled to present the world premiere of a song from this week's release of Lance Horne's sensational new album FIRST THINGS LAST with a strikingly sensitive and alluring track from Broadway and GLEE star Cheyenne Jackson titled "Strange Bird". The track comes from Lance Horne's upcoming musical THE STRIP and acts as the major part of the second act of the show. Here is a particularly pertinent portion of my conversation with Lance from last week about the album, the show, the song and Cheyenne Jackson.

Strange Birds

PC: My personal favorite song on your album is Cheyenne Jackson's track "Strange Bird" - what a unique and wonderful song.

LH: Oh, thank you so, so much.

PC: Is it from a show?

LH: Yes, it is. It's from a new show called THE STRIP. That is the turning point in the show. It's in Act 2 and everything is happening. It's one of those habeas corpses moments - you know, hands across the stage and you just take it all in for a second. It's a big dance show, but that's a moment to take a breath.

PC: It's the exhale.

LH: Right. And, Cheyenne asked for that song early on. He loved that song and I've never let anyone else sing it since. I'm pretty sure it's going to become his song now. He just texted me and asked me to hear it because he hasn't heard the final mix yet!

And, now, BroadwayWorld readers get their chance to hear it!

Stay tuned to BroadwayWorld for a comprehensive conversation with Horne later this week, and, most of all, after partaking in the joys of this selection, be sure to pick up the album here. Also, for more information, you can visit Lance Horne's official site here.
