BWW TV Exclusive: 'Just Another Day' Backstage at Bdwy's Next To Normal

The stars of Broadway's Next to Normal, Jennifer Damiano and Adam Chanler-Berat, joined BroadwayWorld's James Sims and Eddie Varley for an exclusive backstage tour of the Booth Theatre. Follow the two young actors as they take our cameras into their cast mate's dressing rooms and on stage.

Having transferred from Off-Broadway, the musical is nominated for 11 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Featuring music by Tom Kitt, book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, and direction by Michael Greif (RENT), Next to Normal also stars Alice Ripley, J. Robert Spencer, Aaron Tveit and Louis Hobson.

Other Tony nominations include Best Actress in a Musical (Alice Ripley), Best Actor in a Musical (J. Robert Spencer), Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Jennifer Damiano), Best Original Score (Tom Kitt (music)/Brian Yorkey (lyrics), Best Book of a Musical (Brian Yorkey), Best Director of a Musical (Michael Greif), Best Orchestrations (Tom Kitt/Michael Starobin), Best Scenic Design of a Musical (Mark Wendland), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Kevin Adams), and Best Sound Design of a Musical (Brian Ronan).

Next to Normal "shows the lengths to which two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact," state press notes. "With a provocative contemporary score of more than 30 original songs, this groundbreaking new musical explores how one suburban household copes with crisis."
