Hello again friends! What an amazing month October is shaping up to be. All month long at ROCK OF AGES, we're celebrating "Rocktoberfest" with a ton of fun events and prizes, all leading up to a "Fan Appreciation Night" on October 29, when we are going to honor our biggest super-fans! Now through Oct. 15, fans can submit videos, photos and stories at www.RockOfAgesMusical.com/Fan-Awards to be nominated for a Rock of Ages Fan Award. Fellow fans will then have one week to vote, and 10 winners will receive two free tickets to Rock of Ages on Oct. 29! Get online and enter!

As I mentioned in my last blog, last Thursday we were the only Broadway show invited to sing at Hard Rock "Rocks Times Square," a benefit concert for St. Mary's Hospital for Children. The event raised awareness and funds for New York's oldest children hospital. There were a ton of people there and we always have a blast rockin' a fun outfit and doing a red carpet! Did I mention that I love fashion?

Are you all reading Greg Reuter's blog this month, as well? I definitely am, and loved his last entry about being honest and nice in show business. Although I have never met him, he seems to be both. I, too, have learned many hard lessons along the way, and have always grown from those experiences.

This week is filled with more fun events and concerts. Tonight we will be singing and attending the Grand opening of the new Guy Fieri restaurant in Times Square – "Guy's American Kitchen and Bar." On Wednesday, October 10th at 9:00 PM at The Triad, our very own Justin Matthew Sargent will headline an original program titled Justin Sargent's COVERED IN ROCK, featuring an all-star band playing classic rock as you've never heard it. I will be there supporting my friend and great talent, Justin. Get your tickets!!

One last thing before I head out. I watched an amazing documentary the other night called "Castles in the Sky". It is a very short, but profound, surf documentary by Taylor Steele. The music is extremely moving, and the few words spoken will touch you deeply. The film was shot over a three year period, in five countries. Check it out, and get the music stat.

What documentaries are you all watching? Tweet them to me. @nekazang.

Until next time...
