The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominations Announcement were announced this morning at the Television Academy's Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood's NoHo Arts District. For the first time, this year's nominees were selected via online voting.

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards airs live Monday, August 25th (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) on NBC and will originate from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The awards will be hosted by Seth Meyers and executive produced by Don Mischer.

Among the theater stars who received nominations were Best Lead actor in a drama series Bryan Cranston, BREAKING BAD and Kevin Spacey, HOUSE OF CARDS and Jeff Daniels for THE NEWSROOM. Kerry Washington was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for SCANDAL.

THE NORMAL HEART received a nomination for Best Television Movie as did THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL.

Cicely Tyson received a nomination for Best Actress in a Mini Series for her performance in THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, as did Jessica Lange for AMERICAN HORROR STORY and Helena Bonham Carter for BURTON AND TAYLOR.

Benedict Cumberbatch received a nom as Best Lead Actor in a Miniseries for SHERLOCK: HIS LAST VOW, while Idris Elba was also recognized in the category for his performance in LUTHER. Mark Ruffalo received a nomination for THE NORMAL HEART.

Funnyman Jim Parsons received a Best Lead Actor in a Comedy nomination for his work in THE BIG BANG THEORY. Edie Falco also received a nom for Lead Actress in a Comedy for her work on NURSE JACKIE while Anna Gunn (Sex with Strangers) received a nomination as Best Supporting Actress in a Drama for BREAKING BAD.

In the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, NORMAL HEART's Jim Parsons, Matt Bomer, Alfred Molina and Joe Mantello were all recognized. Mandy Patinkin received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for HOMELAND.

In the category of Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie, AHS's Frances Conroy, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett received nominations as did Ellen Burstyn for FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC and Julia Roberts for NORMAL HEART.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson was recognized for his supporting actor work on MODERN FAMILY, while Allison Janney received a nom for her role on MOM.

THE 67th ANNUAL TONY AWARDS received 7 nominations including Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics nomination for Tom Kitt and Lin Manuel Miranda. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Special Class Program, Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Variety Special, Outstanding Music Direction and Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.

Billy Crystal's 700 SUNDAYS also received a nod for Outstanding Variety Special.

James Lapine was recognized for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for SIX BY SONDHEIM, along with Rob Ashford and Beth McCarthy Miller for THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! Director Glenn Weiss also received a nom for THE TONY AWARDS.

In the category of Outstanding Special Class Program, NBC's THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE and THE TONY AWARDS were recognized.

Jane Lynch received a nomination for Outstanding Host for a reality program. Nathan Lane was nominated for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy for his appearance in ABC's MODERN FAMILY.
