Azaria and GLEE's Mays Join Harris and Cumming in Upcoming 'Smurf' Movie

The cast continues to grow for the upcoming "Smurfs: The Movie." According to the Hollywood reporter, SPAMALOT's Hank Azaria and GLEE star Jayma Mays will join the star studded group for the upcoming animated film.

Azaria, also know for his voice work on the hit television show "The Simpsons" will play the villain, Gargamel, who continually terrorizes the Smurf village. Mays will play the opposite previously announced Neil Patrick Harris is his female counterpart.

Azaria has appeared on Broadway in Monty Python's Spamalot as Sir Lancelot, a role for which he received a Tony nomination, and, more recently, in the Aaron Sorkin play, The Farnsworth Invention. Mays currently stars on the hit television show GLEE as Emma Pillsbury, who has a relationship with star Matthew Morrison's character, Will Shuester.

Alan Cumming, Jonathan Winters, George Lopez and singer Katy Perry will also lend their voices to he upcoming live action/animated film 'Smurfs', reports Variety. They join the previously announced Neil Patrick Harris who will play the fim's live action character.

Winters will voice the role of Papa Smurf, while Cumming will portray 'Gutsy Smurf'. Lopez will lend his voice to 'Grouchy Smurf' and Katy Perry is reportedly in talks to play 'Smurfette'.
