August: Osage county announced today the launch of its national tour, which will begin its first engagement at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco from August 11 – September 6th, 2009. Subsequent engagements will be announced shortly.

Nominated for 7 Tony Awards, including Best Play, Best Actress, and Best Director, and the recent recipient of Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and New York Drama Critics Circle Awards, including Best Play, Best Director, and Best Actress, August: Osage County tells the explosively funny tale of the Weston clan, triggered by the recent disappearance of the family patriarch.

Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, August: Osage County has been called "The most exciting new American play Broadway has seen in years," (Charles Isherwood, The New York Times), and was voted #1 play of the year by Time, The Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, and TimeOut New York.

The cast of the current Broadway production is Ian Barford, Deanna Dunagan, Kimberly Guerrero,Francis Guinan,Brian Kerwin, Michael McGuire, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton,Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, Molly Ranson, Rondi Reed, and Troy West.

The designers are Todd Rosenthal (sets), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), Ann G. Wrightson (lights), Richard Woodbury (sound) and David Singer (original music).

 August: Osage County performs Tuesday-Friday at 7:30PM, Matinees on Wednesday and Saturdays at 2:00PM, Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 3:00PM. Tickets can be purchased at Telecharge.com, or by calling (212) 239-6200. Outside the NY Metro (800) 432-7250.
