Asbury Park Theater Company to Present OUR TOWN at Jersey Shore Arts Center
Directed by Bailey Dumlao, Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama comes to Ocean Grove, NJ.
Asbury Park Theater Company has revealed its upcoming production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, Our Town. This landmark exploration of the human experience will run from May 22nd through May 31st at Jersey Shore Arts Center.
The production is directed by Bailey Dumlao, Shawn Emamjomeh serves as Producer, with Jamie Kaprovitz as Production Stage Manager. Set in the fictional village of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, the play remains one of the most frequently performed works in the American canon for its profound ability to find the universal in the everyday.
Interestingly, the production finds a natural home in Ocean Grove; the town's population of approximately 2,500 residents nearly matches that of the fictional Grover's Corners, offering a subtle, real-world parallel to the intimate scale of Wilder's world.
