AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY Hits 633rd Performance, Surpasses THE FOURPOSTER

The evening of Saturday, May 30, 2009 marks a major milestone at the Music Box Theatre - August: Osage County will surpass another long running, Tony Award winning play, The Fourposter by Jan De Hartog, when it hits its 633rd performance.

The show, which is still going strong at the Music Box Theatre recently welcomed on Tuesday, May 26, Phylicia Rashad to the role of Violet Weston and welcomed back Tony-nominee Amy Morton. The show played to sold-out crowds in London this past winter and will embark on its national tour this summer (with recent Broadway star Estelle Parsons). A big screen version is also in the works.

August: Osage County opened at the Imperial Theatre on December 4, 2007. The show reopened at The Music Box Theatre on April 29, 2008.

August: Osage County currently stars: Phylicia Rashad as Violet Weston as well as Elizabeth Ashley, Anne Berkowitz, Guy Boyd, John CullumKimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin Michael Milligan, Mariann MayberrySally Murphy, Amy Morton, Troy West, and Frank Wood.

August: Osage County currently performs Tuesday at 7:00PM, Wednesday-Friday at 7:30PM, Matinees on Wednesday and Saturdays at 2:00PM, Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 3:00PM.
