5th Annual Coney Island Talent Show is Set for July 26th

Coney Island's talent & entertainment history runs deep. Since the late 1800's, live music, sideshows and burlesque shows have peppered the boardwalk to the midway, and enchanted the masses. It is the perfect, magical & mystical place for a talent show.

Join Hostess The World Famous *BOB*and the fanfare of legendary talent that has come out of Coney Island, by being a part of the 5th Annual Coney Island Talent Show on the boardwalk (between 10th & 12th street) on July 26th from 4pm-8pm.

"This year Coney Island delivers exciting new attractions like the Thunderbolt coaster. And this summers Talent Show has characters and performances that soar to new heights too. Daring dazzling and definitely worthwhile. Everyone is invited onto the improved new Boardwalk right at Deno's Wonder Wheel Park to enjoy the show," says Dennis Vourderis Chairman of the Alliance for Coney Island.

"We are thrilled to have the Coney Island Talent Show back for its fifth season. The Talent Show has become a signature event for the Coney Island Summer Event Series, drawing thousands of spectators and talent from all the five boroughs. We invite all New Yorkers to come witness a fun filled spectacle showcasing true Coney Island flair," said Johanna Zaki, Executive Director of Alliance for Coney Island.

Categories for this year's talent contest are: Creative kids 9-12 years old, Creative kids 13-17 years old and Song, Dance & Variety 18 and up

1st prize in each category will receive a cash prize of $250, and day passes to participating Coney Island Amusements

2nd prize in each category will receive a cash prize of $100, and day passes to participating Coney Island Amusements.

3rd prize in each category will a cash prize of $50, and tickets to participating Coney Island Amusements.

The Best Dressed person in each category will receive a special mystery prize.

This year's celebrity judges include; crooner & emcee, Mat "Seal Boy Fraser", performance artist and dancer, Julie Atlas Muz, NYC Bass Player and Award-Winning Variety Performer, Ken Zwerin, and "The Hardest Working Man in Showbiz", Murray Hill.
