Jason Robert Brown, Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre and Best Orchestrations for The Bridges of Madison County
I'm doing well! It's a complicated day because I love the show so much and I wish that it could have gotten little bit more recognition. I'm very happy for Kelli- we all wrote the show with her in mind so it's wonderful that she was recognized for that. She's doing an unbelievable job and that is very gratifying. It's funny, the announcements happened exactly when we walk our kids to school every day, so we kept them late so that we could watch together. It's strange, the last time that I was even nominated was for Urban Cowboy and we didn't even have kids then, so it was really special to get to share that with them. They were very excited when they heard daddy's name. I'm conducting the show tonight, so what better way to celebrate than to share the music with everyone at the theatre?
