SciCafe: Secrets of the Sleeping Brain- In a city that never sleeps, life is filled with distractions that hinder our ability to unwind and get a good night's rest.

Discover the secrets of the sleeping brain and the dreaming mind when you join Matthew Walker of the Sleep and Neuroimaging Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, and Amita Sehgal of the Center for Sleep and Respiratory Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, who will discuss the beneficial role of sleep in learning, memory, and emotions, as well as the consequences of a sleep-deprived brain.

Cocktails, cutting-edge science, and conversation are all on tap at this popular after-hours series, which takes place on the first Wednesday of every month. For more details and information on monthly speakers, visit amnh.org/scicafe.
