BIFGOOT AND OTHER LOST SOULS Plays the Perseverance Theater, Now thru 5/27

By: May. 04, 2012

BIGFOOT AND OTHER LOST SOULS, with Story & Book by Adrien Royce and Music & Lyrics by Mark Hollmann, makes its World Premiere at the Perseverance Theater tonight, May 4 through May 27, 2012.

Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls is a musical fable about a young woman who lost her baby -- when she didn't even know she had one.

In 1981 Bernie Bernstein, novice scriptwriter and shoe-size eleven narrow, is broke and having been recently dumped by her cross-dressing boyfriend, brokenhearted. She takes the only job she can get: writing a Bigfoot documentary. Her quest into the woods to discover the truth about the creature includes: a fugitive Weatherman, a Bigfoot expert and his wife, a pregnant Scottish cable-access camera crew, a former psychiatric nurse in Vietnam who has been elected sheriff of Mt Shasta, two entangled FBI agents, and a couple of pothead paramedics. Bernie's journey to learn the truth about the Sasquatch also uncovers the truth about her baby.

Based on a true story.
