By: Apr. 06, 2017
Tickets to the matinee performances of the Broadway sensation "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" in Anchorage are selling fast.

Anchorage Concert Association has now added a 10 a.m. Saturday performance, giving families and Belle-ievers of all ages an extra chance to experience live the classic story of Belle, a beautiful young woman in a provincial town, and her unlikely encounter with the Beast, who is in reality a young prince trapped in a spell.

Tickets for the added performance are on sale at the CenterTix box office (907-263-2787) for the April 29 show. Performances are April 25-30 at Atwood Concert Hall.

With songs by legendary composer Alan Menken ("The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," "Pocahontas") "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" stage version is an international phenomenon that has played to more than 35 million people worldwide. As their story unfolds, we're introduced to an unforgettable cast of characters, including Lumière, Mrs. Potts, Cogsworth, and other familiar favorites.

Presented by the Anchorage Concert Association. Tickets start at $49.25 for adults and $46.25 for youth 18 and under and are available at CenterTix box office and anchorageconcerts.org.
