STOMP Comes to Popejoy Hall February 20th and 21st!
Albequerque Journal reports that STOMP will come to University of New Mexico's Popejoy Hall on February 20th and 21st.
First created in London in 1991, STOMP has toured the world ever since, first coming to the United States in 1995. STOMP is a rhythmic experience, with all of the music being created by pedestrian objects, like brooms and trash cans.
Albequerque Journal interviewed new cast member Ivan Salazar, who spoke on his experience as a new member of a long-running show. "It's always really fun to have a New Group of people to perform with... What's great about this show is that if you watched two shows back to back, each would be different. We're allowed to do solos, and we're allowed to dress how we want within the culture of the show. We're allowed to make personality choices. We feed off of each other."
Tickets for STOMP run between $35 and $100, and can be purchased at unmtickets.com.
