What drives our loyalties? How do we say what we mean? What is it worth to be a pretty girl? Greg, Steph, Kent and Carly are plagued by these questions and their own struggles to find the answers - whether or not they are aware of these dilemmas remains to be seen... The Second Season of Duke City Repertory Theatre opens with this biting, visceral exploration of relationships, scathingly crafted by acclaimed playwright Neil LaBute.

reasons to be pretty is an excruciating and enlightening exploration of human interaction, pitting physical passion against our romantic desires. reasons to be pretty features Frank Taylor Green, DCRT's Associate Artistic Director, who was last seen at the Filling Station in Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, new DCRT Company Member Lauren Meyers (Trust, Taming of the Shrew) Abe Jallad (Last 5 Years) and newcomer Merritt Glover. The creative team includes Murdock Lucas (Set Design), Gwen Edwards (Stage Management and Costume Design), and Anna Nichols (Lighting Design).
