A Drag Is Born at The Street Theatre

A wordless solo show created and performed by Edu Díaz, celebrating queer identity through clown, drag, music, and magical realism. An ordinary man is thrust into the spotlight to become the Queen of the Carnival, and the production follows his transformation in playful complicity with the audience. The show has been presented internationally, winning seven awards including Best Solo Show at Orlando Fringe and Best Solo Clown at NYC Fringe. This Canberra performance is part of SpringOUT Pride Festival.
