Tony Award-winner Bryan Cranston Talks BREAKING BAD, ALL THE WAY, & More
Known best for his Emmy Award-winning portrayal of Walter White in AMC's Breaking Bad, and his recent Tony Award-winning portrayal of Lyndon B. Johnson in All the Way, Bryan Cranston sat down to talk with The Daily Beast about his career.
Regarding the end of his career-making role BREAKING BAD, he said that Walter White would always be tied to him. He also says that the role gave him the opportunity to branch out from just television, "The experience with Breaking Bad created a tremendous amount of opportunity, and the first of which was doing a play."
He says that he's doubtful that Walter White belongs in the Breaking Bad prequel show, BETTER CALL SAUL, but that he is greatly anticipating directing an episode.
"It's family," Cranston told the Daily Beast. "They've got the same crew, and it's exciting to think that we can rekindle that flame; that it's still alive."
After playing a president on Broadway, he said he predicts that America will have a female president next time around, and that he is completely on board the "Hilary train," saying, "Oh, yeah. I'll be on the ticket, are you kidding? She's going to pick me for her Vice president. How about this: Hillary and Heisenberg. I'll wear the hat, and do all the dirty work. [Laughs]"
