A revamped Les Miserables will set out on a 25th Anniversary U.K and Internatinal tour beginning 12/11.

The tour will make its first stop at Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff 12/11-1/16/2010. It will then move to Palace Theatre In Manchester from 1/19-2/13, Theatre Royal In Norwich 2/16-3/20, Hippodrome in Birmingham 3/23-4/17, Playhouse in Edinbugh 4/20-5/15, and Chatelet in Paris 5/26-7/4. Further dates and venues are to be announced.

Created by Cameron Mackintosh, Les Miserables tells the story of Jean Valjean, released on parole after 19 years on the chain gang, finds that the yellow ticket-of-leave he must, by law, display condemns him to be an outcast. Only the saintly Bishop of Digne treats him kindly and Valjean, embittered by years of hardship, repays him by stealing some silver. Valjean is caught and brought back by police, and is astonished when the Bishop lies to the police to save him, also giving him two precious candlesticks. Valjean decides to start his life anew.

The new production is to be directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell with design by Matt Kinley.
