Photo Flash: First Look at Tim Flavin, Lizzy Cundy and More in West End's WAG! THE MUSICAL

Peter Frosdick Productions and Paul Nicholas present the West End premiere of WAG! The Musical, with Book by Belvedere Pashun and Music & Lyrics by Grant Martin, Thomas Giron-Towers and Tony Bayliss. The show will star Olivier Award-winner Tim Flavin and will feature a special guest appearance by Ariadne the Greek Wag. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the production shots below!

The cast also features Daisy Wood-Davis, Amy Scott, Gavin Alex, Chris Grierson, Katie Kerr, Philip Andrew and Nia Jermi.

The production will be directed and staged by Alison Pollard, with lighting design by Simon Lord, sound design by Peter Hargreaves, set design Charles Camm and produced by Peter Frosdick and Paul Nicholas.

WAG! The Musical, is to open in the West End for a strictly limited six-week summer season at Charing Cross Theatre from Thursday 18 July to Saturday 24 August. Press night is Wednesday 24 July at 7.30pm.

WAG! The Musical is a contemporary comedy musical set in a major city centre department store, starring Flavin and featuring a high-octane score of memorable songs and glamorous characters straight out of the pages of Hello and OK! magazines.

WAG! The Musical follows a day in the life of best friends Jenny and Sharron, two working class girls making ends meet working on the cosmetics counter of a bustling high end departmental haven. Encountering daily the widest range of customers, from the aspiring plain Jane to the all-conquering entourage of WAGs, Jenny longs for escape and fulfillment. As mistress to a premier league superstar, she has tough decisions to make, whilst girl-next-door Sharron battles to retain her friend and control her own reciprocated and forbidden affections towards a new colleague. Added to the mix is an array of adulterous males, scandal, and fading hopes of lasting happiness. All of which is lorded over by an acidic queen, and played out against the backdrop of a red carpet fashion launch extravaganza.
