Lloyd-Hughes will join previously announced cast members Paul Giamatti, Rhys Ifans and Ezra Miller in Rose Barrenche's adaptation of French writer Gustave Flaubert's 1856 novel.

In the story, Emma Bovary attempts to quell the boredom and emptiness of her life as a doctor's wife by having affairs that ultimately leave her even more unsatisfied and desolate than before.

Lloyd-Hughes starred in the West End in 2012's Posh at the Royal Court. His upcoming big screen projects include Hello Carter and the short film Insomniacs. Past film credits include Anna Karenina, A Fantastic Fear of Everything, Dimensions, Anonymous, The Inbetweeners Movie (he starred on the TV series as well), Weekender and more.
