Hari Dhillon and More Lead DINNER WITH FRIENDS, Beginning Tonight at Park Theatre

Donald Margulies' Pulitzer-winning play DINNER WITH FRIENDS brings food, love and relationships to the table with Sara Stewart (PRESENT LAUGHTER, PROOF), Shaun Dooley (BROADCHURCH, THE GAME), Finty Williams (ANGELINA BALLERINA, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST) and Hari Dhillon (DISGRACED - pictured, left) this autumn.

Park Theatre's revival begins tonight, October 27, in Finsbury Park, North London.

In DINNER WITH FRIENDS, Gabe and Karen (Dooley and Stewart) are a happily married couple who have been friends with Tom and Beth (Hari Dhillon and Finty Williams) for years. When Beth reveals during a dinner party that she and Tom are getting a divorce, Gabe and Karen are forced to deal with their own issues.

DINNER WITH FRIENDS was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville and had its world premiere at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in March 1998. The show debuted off-Broadway in 1999 before the play won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

DINNER WITH FRIENDS was adapted into an Emmy-nominated TV movie the following year, starring Dennis Quaid, Andie MacDowell, Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette.

Park Theatre's website describes the play, writing: "DINNER WITH FRIENDS is a tantalizing and witty portrayal of relationships that explores our dependency on our friends as well as our loved ones. Follow Beth, Tom, Karen and Gabe, whose lives, once inextricably linked, start to come undone...This critically acclaimed play has been enjoyed by audiences in Berlin, Vienna, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Stockholm and New York, where it played for over 600 performances...The play received its UK premiere in a production at The Hampstead Theatre, London in July 2001."
