A new musical inspired by the life and times of Ike and Tina Turner, SOUL SISTER, will soon open at London's Hackney Empire Theatre. The production will feature Emi Wokoma as the music legend.

Pulsing with heart and soul and featuring classics such as What’s Love Got to Do with It, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and River Deep Mountain High. Soul Sister follows the highs and lows, the passions and heartbreak of Ike and Tina Turner as their careers blossomed and their marriage crumbled.

Wokoma's theatre credits include: Dancing In The Streets, Porgy and Bess (directed by Trevor Nunn, The Savoy) and Mass Carib (Nitro Theatre Company). College performances include Titanic, Is There Life After High School?, Hello Dolly, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood and Much Ado About Nothing.

Performances are April 14- May 5, Tue-Thu & Sat 7.30pm, Fri 8.15pm, Sun 5pm (no show on Mondays). Matinees: every Sat 2.30pm, plus Weds 25 Apr & 2 May 2.30pm. Previews are April 14-18, and Wednesday matinees: £18 / £16 / £13 / £11. All other performances: £27.50 / £24.50 / £19.50 / £14.50 / £10
